Our recent Volunteer Celebration Day was more than just a party. It was a heartfelt reminder of the incredible community that makes Quo Vadis Trust so special.
Held as part of Volunteers’ Week 2026 and built around this year’s theme, Champion Volunteerism, the celebration brought together volunteers, staff, clients, and new faces for an afternoon of gratitude, connection, and fun.
A Warm Welcome
The day began with refreshments and conversation, as volunteers, staff, clients, and new volunteers came together to connect and enjoy each other’s company. It set the tone perfectly for everything that followed: a celebration rooted in genuine warmth and community spirit.
Reflecting on a Year of Impact
Guests reflected on the impact volunteers have made over the past year through a presentation highlighting their achievements and contributions. Our CEO, Ingrid, also shared a heartfelt message of thanks, recognising the dedication, kindness, and commitment that volunteers bring to QVT every single day.

Cooking Up Something Special
Behind the scenes, volunteers were hard at work preparing a delicious lunch of green Thai chicken curry and red Thai vegetable curry.
One of the most inspiring parts of the day was seeing everyone contribute in their own way. Whether cooking, networking, organising activities, serving others, setting up, or helping with the clean-up, every volunteer played to their strengths and helped make the day a success.

Volunteer Recognition Ceremony
A highlight of the celebration was our Volunteer Recognition Ceremony, where each volunteer received a Volunteer Passport and a small gift hamper, a token of appreciation for their hard work, empathy, and dedication. This was followed by group photos, capturing the smiles, friendships, and shared memories that make volunteering so rewarding.

Laughter, Lunch, and Old Times
The celebrations continued with a fun quiz that brought plenty of laughter and friendly competition, before everyone came together to enjoy lunch, proudly served by our client volunteers.
Perhaps the most touching moment came when one client shared that the day “felt like old times”. Those simple words captured the spirit of the event perfectly: a day that brought people together, strengthened connections, and reminded us of the power of community.

Welcoming New Volunteers
We were also delighted to welcome new volunteers and give them a glimpse into the supportive, inclusive, and appreciative culture at QVT.
Thank You
To every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and compassion, thank you. Volunteers’ Day was a celebration of you, and of the difference you make every single day. We are proud to have you as part of the QVT family.
