Quo Vadis Trust marked Recovery Month with a special event at our Verdant Lane scheme. Despite challenging weather conditions, the day was a resounding success thanks to the enthusiasm, teamwork, and resilience of our community!
A Healthy Start
The day began with a vibrant and nutritious breakfast featuring fresh fruit, granola, muesli, and smoothies – the perfect fuel for a full programme of activities.

Food, Fun, and Community Spirit
As always, food was central to the celebrations. Volunteer Dilia prepared her much-loved pizzas, while our chef Monique cooked a chicken dish that proved so popular it disappeared in minutes. We are also hugely grateful to Velma, our clients, and our volunteers who supported with both preparation and clearing up on the day.

Activities for All
The event included a wide range of activities designed to bring people together, promote wellbeing, and celebrate recovery. Clients enjoyed team games, exercises, an icebreaker bingo, charades, and even a calming meditation session focused on healthy sleep.
Not even the rain and wind could stop the fun. Thanks to the commitment of our brilliant maintenance team, who secured gazebos against the weather, the event carried on smoothly and safely.

A Celebration of Recovery
Recovery Month is an important time to reflect on the strength, resilience, and progress of those on their recovery journeys. The Verdant Lane event highlighted exactly what QVT stands for: community, support, and creating spaces where clients can feel valued and engaged.
We are proud of the way residents, staff, and volunteers came together to make the day so memorable, and we look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate recovery and wellbeing across our schemes!
