Wellness Housing Officers will be on site Monday to Friday for three hours between 11:45am and 4:45pm (excluding Bank Holidays), offering enhanced housing management services, e.g. tenancy sustainment, benefit applications, budgeting and payment of tenancy related bills. Staff are able to signpost clients to other relevant agencies that do not relate to housing management and to assist them with carrying out the tasks associated with living in a communal home environment and in maintaining their tenancy.
All clients throughout QVT have telephone access to our 24-hour scheme at Verdant Lane (SE6) where there are staff on duty who can assist with any queries or concerns that may arise day or night and offer verbal support or, if necessary, arrange for face to face contact. There is also an out-of-hours on call manager to assist and support staff and clients in times of urgency.
Bishops Lodge offers supportive ‘family style’ accommodation with an emphasis on ‘normal living’. Each member of the household has their own comfortable room with a kitchenette and an en-suite, and shares the communal areas including the lounge, a well-equipped kitchen and one communal toilet. There are gardens at the front and rear of the property.
Bedrooms are equipped with a single bed, bedside table, wardrobe, chest of drawers, fridge, and a microwave oven. En-suite facilities consist of a toilet, a small wash basin and a shower.
There is a comfortable lounge on the ground floor with sofas, and an area for sitting and dining in the conservatory that overlooks the rear garden.
