An update today with a little bit about a couple of the food-related initiatives we’ve been running for our clients lately.
We started baking cupcakes a few weeks ago at Verdant Lane for our weekly peer support groups. Here, our clients enjoyed preparing, socialising and the eating the results of their baking during the group. This past week we prepared pancakes in line with pancake day (always a favourite with both staff and clients!), and next week we are going to make cheesecake.
We’ve also been holding our weekly healthy eating sessions at Verdant Lane, where we promote healthy eating on a budget. We’re planning to develop this idea across other schemes, so watch this space!
