The Covid-19 lockdown during Easter weekend didn’t stop QVT staff ensuring that the clients had some enjoyment and were able to get involved in various activities!

Toni Hale, one of our Relief Workers, made some beautiful Easter cards for each of the houses at Verdant Lane, distributed leaflets inviting all of them to a Sunday lunch specially prepared by Francis (one of our clients); decorated the outside with colourful bunting, and attached individual messages of positivity written by some of the clients (see above pictures).

Tape was put on the floor (2m apart of course!) and everyone was invited to bring their own plates and dishes so they could be filled with a lovely turkey dinner and a dessert.

16 clients participated and all of them said just how much they enjoyed it. Donado (pictured) said ‘It was lovely, the dinner was delicious and the cake and custard for dessert was my favourite!’

Thank you to all staff involved with the preparation for Easter weekend events and a special thank you to Toni for going the extra mile and sharing her creative ideas to help make a difference and ensure QVT clients had a pleasant and memorable time.

We hope everyone is keeping their spirits up in these challenging times, and still being able to organise light-hearted events like these really helps both our staff and clients.
