Grow Wild is the national outreach initiative of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. Its mission is to encourage people to change lives and transform spaces through native UK wildflowers and fungi. It wants people to work in groups, get active and learn about nature, and thus improve health and wellbeing as well as urban and unloved spaces across the UK. Their work is supported by the Big Lottery Fund as well as public and private contributions.

One of the ways that Grow Wild do this is by encouraging groups to apply for wildflower seed kits which will help to transform local spaces. Over the last five years, Grow Wild has distributed millions of seeds across the UK.

Quo Vadis Trust applied to Grow Wild for a seed kit and were excited to learn that we have been successful! We will be using the seeds to grow some beautiful wildflowers across the schemes and will be sharing our before and after pictures with Grow Wild so that others can see how these native wildflowers can change our gardens, filling them with the beautiful colours of nature.

Getting involved in this project can transform you too – by working as a group, being active and contributing to the wellbeing of your fellow residents as well as improving the gardens. Please contact Lucy, our Recovery Activity & Volunteer Coordinator, if you would like to be a part of this exciting project.
